We are engineers, researchers, and AI experts dedicated to promoting the ethical and responsible use of AI. We help businesses align their AI systems with the EU AI Act, ensuring they are safe, fair, and protect people’s rights.
OUR STORY
We were just trying to make dinner. Instead, we ended up starting a company.
We’re three friends from India who moved to Europe to pursue our master’s degrees through the EIT Digital program. We all came with big dreams of tech, startups, building cool things. And somewhere along the way, Budapest became our home.
We started living together in a small apartment here. Cooking became our evening ritual. We’d try new dishes, argue about who used too much chilli, and talk about everything from classes to life to the future of AI.
One evening, like many others, we got talking about AI and how it’s everywhere now, in hiring tools, healthcare apps, banking systems… and how little people actually know what’s going on behind the scenes. That conversation didn’t end with dinner. We kept reading, digging into real-world case studies, and what we found was shocking.
There were systems out there making decisions about people’s lives with zero oversight. No fairness checks. No transparency. And in many cases, real harm was done. We couldn’t stop thinking about it.
We realized something simple but powerful: It’s not just about building AI. It’s about building it responsibly.
That night planted a seed.
We thought people are investing millions into AI, but if it doesn’t follow the law or align with ethics, it’s not just a legal risk. It’s a societal one. We didn’t want to sit back and watch it grow unchecked.
So we started AUD AI.
Not from a business plan or a lecture.
But from a shared gut feeling that if we don’t build trust in AI now,
We live together in Budapest, which means work, life, and dinner all happen in the same space. Our days are a mix of coding, arguing over design choices, quick grocery runs, and spontaneous late-night walks where we talk about everything from AI ethics to which country we want to visit next.
We travel whenever we can and sometimes for academic works, sometimes just to explore new cultures and food (which always finds its way into our kitchen experiments).
Each of us brings a different strength to the team from AI research to product design to strategy and somehow, it just works. We challenge each other, we laugh a lot, and we’re building something we genuinely believe in.
That’s our vibe. A little chaotic. Very curious. Deeply committed.
